Discovering Europe through Early Modern Literature

Activities

Collaboration with Museum Hof van Busleyden, Mechelen, Belgium, on “Museumklas: Ridders ontrafeld” for the exhibition Ridders van het Gulden Vlies (From 24th of February to 2nd of June, 2024):

Description: The literary figure of the knight was quintessentially European. Knights’ adventures took them to all corners of the continent. Their encounters with friends and enemies, inside and outside Europe, spurred the knights to continually reinvent themselves. Perhaps today’s Europeans, faced with so many new challenges, are a bit like these literary knights.
